Four members of the Ãļ§Ö±²¥ faculty delivered a workshop titled "Visual Literacy Rubrics as a Learning Process for Faculty" at the Association of American Colleges & Universities' Feb. 15–17 in Philadelphia. The four were Paul J. Benzon, visiting assistant professor of English and associate director of Ãļ§Ö±²¥'s Media and Film Studies Program; Sarah Goodwin, professor of English, faculty assessment coordinator and Kenan Professor of Liberal Arts; Katie Hauser, associate professor of art history and director of the Media and Film Studies Program; and Jeff Segrave, professor of health and human physiological sciences.

Terry Diggory, professor emeritus of English, had an opinion piece published in the Feb. 16 Albany Times Union titled "" about welcoming immigrants. Diggory is also an elder at the Presbyterian-New England Congregational Church in Saratoga Springs.

Chris Mann, assistant professor of political science, was quoted in a Feb. 16 Daily Gazette story titled "." Mann discussed the difficulty of determining whether politicians are actually influenced by campaign contributions from groups such as the National Rifle Association.

Bob Turner, associate professor of political science, had an opinion piece published in the Feb. 17 Saratogian titled "" commenting on the New York State Supreme Court's denial of a request for access to ballot records from the Nov. 7, 2017, Saratoga Springs city charter referendum.
